The Japanese Association for Acute Medicine [JAAM] JAAM-DIC ALGORITHM

Introduction

The JAAM DIC scoring algorithm includes a number of variables but in addition specific criteria for evidence of a:
Systemic Inflammatory Response Syndrome [SIRS]:
  - Temperature <36°C or >38°C
   - Heart rate >90 beats/min
   - Respiratory rate >20 breath/min or PaCO2 <4.3 kPa)
   - WCC >12 x 109/L , <4 x 109/L or 10% immature forms present
